Supernovas

Supernovas are one of the biggest things in space. It happens when a huge star is at the end of its life. These events are very rare in our galaxy but is seen quite often in other galaxys around the universe. When a supernova explodes the remanants go as far as 25,000 miles away from the explosion site. But only a few stars end their lives as a supernova, most of them end as a white dwarf or a black dwarf.

BlackHOles

Blackholes are created after a massive supernova. It creates basically a burned out area in space. Black holes are so strong that even light can't escape its gravitational pull. But the myth that anything near a black hole would be sucked in , is just that, a myth. For an object to get sucked in it has to cross a radius that to escape it you would have to go faster then the speed of light.
